Dr. Sadr is Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, University of Washington (UW) in Seattle, WA and also of Cariology and Operative Dentistry, Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) in Japan, where he was trained by Prof. Junji Tagami.
He is currently the director of operative dentistry training at UW and heads a research team. Dr. Sadr has focused on development and evaluation of self-etching adhesives, fiber-reinforced composites and remineralization agents. He has been promoting the optical coherence tomography (OCT) technology into the clinical practice of dentistry. Dr. Sadr has published close to 200 scientific articles with his colleagues from across the world, received funding from national and industry sources, presented talks and trained dentists nationally and internationally.
Dr. Sadr has proudly received the teaching awards for his operative dentistry course in 2019 and 2020 at UW. He is an advocate of tooth-saving adhesive and biomimetic dentistry.
