Hands On Live Event – Introduction to Biomimetic Direct & Indirect Restorations Workshop​

The advancements in adhesive materials & techniques the past 30-years have enabled clinicians to restore severely broken-down teeth back to their natural strength & function (Biomimetics). 

These proven & established adhesive techniques now provide clinicians with the ability to create more natural (Biomimetic) Emergence Profiles with direct restorations including Deep Margin Elevation. 

This 2-day workshop will discuss, demonstrate & practice anterior & posterior direct Biomimetic restorations (black triangles, large restorations) & posterior indirect restorations. 

Advanced, tooth-conserving preparations will also be discussed, demonstrated & practiced. 

Utilization and techniques for plasma treated polyethylene fiber in Biomimetic restorations will also be discussed.

Dr. Richard’s CV:

Dr. Richard Young received his dental training at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1985. He is an Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry at LLU School of Dentistry and co-directs the undergraduate dental aesthetics program, as well as lecturing in the practice management program. His interest in dental photography spans the last 31 years and he is recognized world wide for his expertise in digital photography. His innovative and practical methods have inspired countless colleagues to adopt digital photography into their clinical procedures.

Dr. Young maintains a private practice with his wife, focusing on esthetic dentistry. He has many interests outside of dentistry. and spends as much time as possible with his wife and daughter enjoying activities centered in the outdoors.
